U of G Yoga and Meditation Collective is delighted to host  the Online 2021 Yoga Speaker Series that brings long term/lifelong practitioners, teachers, and academic researchers together in a compelling conversation with a diverse audience – student, staff, faculty, alumni, yoga practitioners and researchers. The series is about learning together. Learning how to use the teachings of these powerful speakers for your own reflection, contemplation and practice, truly taking Yoga off the mat and into your life.

As each speaker story completes, we will explore how the teachings, insights and underlying themes can be applied to our own life, work, home, community, and society at large. We are looking forward to deepening the discussion and learning more about our speakers lives and their perspectives on yoga teachings. These events will invite meaningful dialogue around the adaptation of yoga in the modern era, to provide possibilities and inspiration for enhancing our personal and professional lives and to strengthen the spirit of friendship and camaraderie in our community. 

This event is hosted by U of G Yoga and Meditation Collective and sponsored by the University of Guelph’s Wellness@Work program. The speakers will have their individual session and then come back together in a final Panel discussion to wrap up the series. All sessions will be hosted on Zoom and recorded for viewing after the event. This is the inaugural year for this series and is open to all without charge.
