DH@Guelph Summer Workshops 2027: Save the Date & Call for Proposals
DH@Guelph is going Global!
We are thrilled to announce that our annual workshops will launch with an in-person, trilingual Symposium (French, English, and Spanish) as part of the Global DH Symposium. One full day of this conference will take place in person at the University of Guelph on Saturday, May 15th. We’d love for you to join us and there’s still time to submit a proposal (see below for details)!
Our annual DH@Guelph Summer Workshops are happening from Monday to Thursday the following week, May 17th-20th, 2027! Please save the dates!

Call for Workshops
The DH@Guelph Summer Workshops will run over four days, May 17th-20th, 2027. We are seeking 4-day workshops on any aspect of digital humanities. Proposals will be selected by the local organizing committee with a view to maintaining the workshops’ emphasis on diversity in the digital humanities, meeting demand for particular topics, and instructor experience and qualifications. This year, due to our collaboration with Global DH, we are asking potential instructors to consider how their workshop aligns and supports a global audience..
In addition to other topics, for 2027 we are particularly interested in workshops that address aspects of video game making or studies, data visualization, minimal computing, UX, or topics that resonate with global digital humanities.
DH@Guelph covers reasonable travel costs, residence accommodation, and a modest honourarium for visiting instructors. Note that our budget is limited with a view to keeping participant costs reasonable, so if your expenses will be significant we are unlikely to be able to accept the proposal.

Applications are due November 15, 2026. We plan to offer a maximum of 10 workshops, so adhering to the deadline is necessary for consideration. You will be notified of results by December 23rd, 2026.
