Philosophy Movie Night - "THE ENDLESS"
In a second teaser to the upcoming “Philosophy of Horror” group for Winter 2019, we are confronted with several questions about transcendence and the ‘here-after’ or ‘outside." The Endless, with its invocation of repetition, spirals of return, eternity and cultic practice, ask us to consider both the familiar and the strange conceptions of the afterlife or beyond. Is the prospect of eternity (in duration and phenomenal experience) always a blessing of infinite joy worthy of affirmation? What horrors might lie "beyond"?

Guest Speaker: Nigel Lezama
Nigel Lezama, a French professor from Brock University, will be partaking in the School of Languages and Literatures' Public Lecture Series. Nigel's talk will be on Paris, Fashion Capital in the 19th Century. His research focuses on the theme of the body and fashion in French culture and literature in the 19th century. In 2017, Nigel co-organized the international conference, New Reach: Past, Present and Future of Luxury. This talk is open to the public, all are welcome to attend!


Talking In Your Sleep
Talking In Your Sleep is a traditional yearly event held by the School of Languages and Literatures. There will be trivia, games, food, and much more! Come join the festivities on Friday, November 16, everyone is welcome! Donations for the Guelph Food Bank are requested, so please bring something along with you.

Student Print Show and Sale
Students from the School of Fine Art and Music Department will be showing and selling their original Lithographs, Etchings, Relief and Screen Prints.
