Italian Studies

At the University of Guelph students can take courses in Italian language through the advanced level as well as courses in Medieval, Renaissance, and contemporary Italian literature. U of G students may decide to pursue Italian for any number of reasons, ranging from an interest in the Arts (fine art, music, literature) to a desire to work with Italian industries (tourism, fashion, interior or graphic design, commerce). Some students will be interested in Italian because of family and heritage connections.

Study Italian Away from Guelph

Students who have completed two years of language study in Italian (or its equivalent) are eligible to participate in one of our exchange programs. Students spend one year abroad while working towards their degree at the University of Guelph. You will find more information about this programs from the Centre for International Programs.
