Welcome To Electronic Access

The University of Guelph is committed to providing services that will enhance the personal safety for every university community member on campus.  

University community members can access electronically controlled authorized spaces by use of an access credential.  This can be either in the form of a University of Guelph I.D. iClass Card or a university issued iClass Fob

New Electronic Access developments across campus.

March 2017

Perimeter electronic access projects are beginning across the main U of G campus.
 

May 14, 2017

  • 8:42am - An interruption in campus systems has temporarily interrupted the ability to modify door access on campus
  • All buildings equipped with electronic access continue to operate normally.
  • The issue is wide spread affecting numerous campus systems.
  • CCS was able to mitigate the issue affecting server infrastucture
  • 11:25am - All communications to the electronic access system was restored

 

March 2017

  • A campus wide initiative is under way to provide electronic access at specific perimter doors of all campus buildings. Building occupants will be notified prior to the installation to prepare for the new door access process.
     
  • Animal and Poultry Science (Building 070) perimeter installation has commenced.
     
  • Bldg 070 occupants are encouraged to obtain their U. of G. iclass I.D. cards.
