Alex grew up east of Toronto on a cash crop and poultry farm. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph, receiving a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Agricultural Business. Alex chose to return to the University to pursue his Masters degree in Agricultural Economics.
His research interests include renewable fuels (ethanol specifically), as well as land and property rights issues. Beyond the class and research work, Alex enjoy participating in the intramurals programs at the school, and the occasional night out with friends.
