WSET Global Wine Education Week

The first-ever Global Wine Week takes place the week of September 9th - 15th, 2019 as part of WSET's 50th-anniversary campaign.  Wine Education Week, aims to engage with the growing population of wine consumers worldwide, encouraging them to learn more about wine.

The campaign will kick off on Monday, September 9th with food and wine pairing launch events across the world in 25 countries. In the UK, the launch event will be an attempt to win a Guinness Book of Records title for the largest ever recorded sommelier tasting.

Following the launch, Wine Education Week will roll out with WSET course providers (including the U of G) in more than 45 countries hosting over 450 fun, educational events to encourage consumers to learn more about wine and to drink ‘better’. From introductory ‘vine to glass’ classes to ‘deciphering wine labels’, the events will help consumers make wiser choices.

The School of Hospitality, Food & Tourism Management at the University of Guelph is excited to take part in WSET's World-Wide Wine Education Week with the following three seminars.

The seminars are free to everyone, on and off-campus. Please choose one seminar, as we have a limit of 20 per seminar. Pre-registration is required.
