A fundraising initiative organized by University of Guelph students, including two students from CME, and three area youngsters has set a new world record.
Hopscotch 4 Hope, an event that raised more than $22,000 last October, is now in Guinness World Records as the longest hopscotch game.
On February 2, 2012, CME's 2011/12 Dean's Honour Scholarship recipients were recognized at a luncheon. To receive this $1000 scholarship, students must meet the primary academic criteria of placement on the Deans' Honours List for two consecutive semesters, excluding semesters 7 and 8. The top 24 students are then awarded.

Congratulations to CME Dean Julia Christensen Hughes who will be the recipient of the Ontario Hostelry Institute (OHI) 2012 Gold Award in the Educator Category. Dean Christensen Hughes will be celebrated and presented with this Award at the 22nd annual gala Gold Awards Dinner that will be held on Thursday, March 22nd, 2012.
CME HR students competed at the OBC (the Ryerson Organizational Behaviour case competition) on the weekend and came in second place. Comprised of Erin Campbell, Cristina Ricciardi, Brittney Hoving, and Andrea Cormack, the Guelph team came in second out of seven teams behind Concordia with McMaster in third place.
