Lang students host virtual sustainability conference sponsored by RBC

Last weekend, students from the Lang School hosted an undergraduate conference and case competition that explored the themes of environmental stewardship and sustainable business.

Now in its second year, the Lang Sustainability Conference hosted 130 student delegates from 14 different universities across Canada to participate in the two-day virtual conference. It is one of the largest student-led sustainable business conferences in Canada. This year's conference was sponsored by RBC and explored the theme of sustainable entrepreneurship.

Lang School Earns AACSB International Accreditation

University of Guelph’s Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics has joined the ranks of some of the world’s top business schools by achieving accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB).


Founded in 1916, AACSB is widely considered one of the world’s most prestigious accreditations, which fewer than 6% of the world's business schools have earned. It is also the largest business education network connecting students, educators, and businesses worldwide.

A year of COVID-19 has illuminated the urgent need for paid sick days

Allied Contributes $125,000 to Lang’s Real Estate Program

Allied Properties REIT has joined other industry leaders in contributing $125,000 to the Lang School’s Guelph Real Estate Alliance (GREA), enhancing Lang’s real estate curriculum and industry collaborations. Allied operates distinctive urban workspace in major Canadian cities and employs a number of Lang Real Estate graduates.

Former Governor General Adrienne Clarkson to keynote gender equality event

Canada’s 26th Governor General, best-selling author and journalist, Adrienne Clarkson, will headline U of G’s HeForShe virtual celebration on March 10th an event that recognizes gender equality initiatives of students and community supporters.


Clarkson will discuss her various life experiences, education and career and how resilience is about developing the mental, spiritual and emotional muscles to deal with life’s challenges.
