The pandemic has really forced our faculty and students to be innovative with course content, to learn new ways of communicating while remotely situated, and to reimagine what a return to the Landscape Architecture building might be like.

It also has afforded a vacated building to get a few projects done.  We have just completed an exterior building envelope 'tightening' addressing repointing of masonry, upper-level stucco renewal, and new fascia and flashing throughout.  On the interior, the senior BLA (3 and 4) and MLA (1 and 2) studio renewal has commenced.  This project will result in a tremendous improvement of electrification and lighting, new finishes for walls, flooring and ceiling, kitchen amenity spaces, student storage, and quality ergonomic workstation and group-work furnishings.  This will also include three new 'crit' stations with technology and exhibit spaces to be integrated into the renewal. The project will be completed prior to the Fall '21 semester.Updated facade of LA building and de-construction of studio spaceSEDRD is eager to introduce its students into its new spaces.
