Niyi is striving to build the profession of landscape architecture in Nigeria, both through his work as the Deputy Director at Parks and Recreation in the capital city of Abuja and through his work launching the Society of Landscape Architects of Nigeria (SLAN), of which he has been president. Niyi finished the BLA program in 1986 and is now based in Abuja, Nigeria.
