Start the Get Outside! May Fitness Challenge

The weather is getting nicer so we want to encourage you to move outdoors for 30 minutes EVERY DAY from May 1st - 31st. What is your movement of choice? Morning Mindfulness Moment: A Peaceful Place

Join this very short mindful moment to kick start your Mindful Monday at the start of Be Well, Be Safe Week.  This mindfulness exercise will be a guided activity focused on imagining a peaceful place in your mind. CMHA Webinar: Maintaining Good Mental Health: Self Care

This webinar is being offered by CMHA Waterloo Wellington.  The COVID-19 pandemic has changed how we live, work, connect and also how we manage our stress levels through self-care.  We are unable to engage in the activities we normally would, such as going to the gym, spa, out for lunch with a friend, playing organized sports or engaging in a bit of retail therapy.  Self-care is essential in order to maintain good mental health. During this webinar we will discuss self-care strategies that we can engage in despite physical distancing restrictions.

CMHA Webinar: Understanding Suicide Loss and Ways to Help

This webinar is being offered by CMHA Waterloo Wellington.  Any death of a loved one is devastating. Learn why a loss by suicide comes with unique challenges. We will also discuss how to help a grieving friend. Register here. Registered attendees will also have access to a recording of the webinar emailed to them afterwards. This ensures those working on shift have the ability to review the helpful information when they have time.

This training will be reviewing muscular-skeletal disorders (MSDs), symptoms of MSDs, ergonomic risk factors, and solutions. Virtual Escape Room

Join a virtual escape room experience for staff and faculty! Participants will join in the hugely popular Legends of Canada digital escape room offered by Complex Games. This activity will be run through the Complex Games platform but coordinated through a Microsoft Teams video call. Players will be divided into groups of 8 players and registration is limited to 50 participants.

Managing Your Mindset in Uncertain Times

COVID-19 and the resulting implications have thrust us into challenging and uncertain times. Have you found yourself soothing with food, panic buying, calming with alcohol, binge watching the news or Netflix? We can’t control what is happening around us but we can choose our response so we feel some control over what is happening within us. In this session you will explore how uncertainty is impacting your thoughts and behaviours.
