Dear Colleagues,

Thank you to everyone who attended our April 4 town hall event to share and discuss the Wellness@Work survey results. We were thrilled to have about 300 people in attendance, with others watching online.

Here on our Wellness@Work website, you will find the full survey report, supplemental report and an infographic that summarizes some of the key findings from the overall U of G survey results: https://www.uoguelph.ca/wellnessatwork/wellnesswork-survey.

On this web page, you can also access a recording of the town hall.

Our high score in “engagement”, affirmed that you are proud of the work you do.  I’m also proud of the work you do and grateful for your contributions to a place where we improve life – in this case, for ourselves and for one another.

We have much to celebrate. Of those who responded to the survey:

  • 91 per cent feel they have the opportunity to work safely
  • 85 per cent of respondents said the University supports their general health
  • 67 per cent feel the current benefits meet their health and wellness needs.

We have also identified a number of opportunities for growth that we are committed to working together to address.  Our university leadership team is working on plans to address these opportunities for growth and will report on progress to their vice-presidents.

If you have questions, comments or ideas after reviewing the survey results and supplemental materials, please contact wellnessatwork@uoguelph.ca.

Sincerely,

Don O’Leary, VP Finance, Administration and Risk
