Call for Volunteers: Help Create Poppies through Workshops or at home!

Posted on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025

Be part of a meaningful U of G community project for Remembrance Day. We’re looking for volunteers to help us handcraft crocheted poppies for a large-scale installation at War Memorial Hall this fall.

This project is part of the Poppies of Remembrance, Unity & Community initiative — in collaboration with the U of G Serving Scholars and supported by students, staff, faculty, and alumni.

Experience the wellness benefits of crocheting while contributing to a shared purpose on campus. All workshops will be led by Linda Adams, a two-time Guelph Alum and crochet instructor.
