Congratulations to Maya Goldenberg, who has just been awarded the Philosophy of Science Association (PSA) Prize in Feminist Philosophy of Science for her 2021 book Vaccine Hesitancy: Trust, Expertise, and the War on Science.

This prize is awarded biennially for the best book, article, or chapter published in English in the area of feminist philosophy of science. The winner receives an award of $500, which is presented at the PSA meeting.

The PSA wrote of Maya Goldenberg's work: "This book provides an exceptional analysis of empirical and historical work with a detailed clarity that is excellent for the classroom. It emphasizes issues that matter for women and marginalized groups in contemporary biomedical contexts including the relationship between science and society, medical racism and abuse, and gender in science. The book is an absolutely stellar contribution situating careful philosophical analysis of biomedical controversy in a socially engaged and accessible way."
