Join us for the launch of the Wild Ontario x Royal City Brewing Community Collab Beer! Wild Ontario, based in the College of Biological Science’s Department of Integrative Biology, is thrilled to announce a collaboration with Guelph’s Royal City Brewing Co. 50 cents from every can purchased of the Community Collab beer supports Wild Ontario, which works with live raptors and student volunteers to teach about nature and conservation, both on-campus and in the community.

Microbiomes at Guelph (MAG) is a new working group that brings together approximately 45 faculty members from different disciplines and departments at the University of Guelph who share the goal of advancing knowledge and innovation in the field of microbiome science. MAG provides a platform for sharing information and resources, facilitating new collaborations, and enhanced opportunities for HQP training and networking.  MAG's first annual research day will be held Friday May 12. Registration is closed. 

Join us for COESP Day 2023, as we discuss mental wellness, transferable skills and ChatGPT! Keynote speaker Dr. Katelyn Cooper from Arizona State University will present “Small changes, meaningful outcomes: Improving mental health among undergraduate and graduate students in the sciences.”

College of Biological Science Graduate Student Symposium is a college level student-run conference, which provides a platform for graduate students to present their research through posters and presentations. This event provides an opportunity for graduate students to familiarize themselves with the studies of their fellow researchers within the college and to forge meaningful connections to build their networks.

Careers in Biology is a great opportunity for graduate students to learn about career opportunities. This year, there will be workshops and career panel discussions with speakers working in different sectors in various stages of their careers, including some of our own alumni! The CBS Careers in Biology event is an excellent opportunity for graduate students in CBS to learn about career options and opportunities in the life sciences sector.  Zoom links for all sessions are in the event program.
