Go ENG Girl 2018

An annual event in collaboration with Ontario Network of Women in Engineering (ONWiE) to allow girls in grades 7 to 10 to explore engineering. This event will include games and challenges for girls to complete, which will allow them to explore aspects of design, coding and engineering. As well as this, a panel of faculty, UofG students and co-op representatives will be available for parents and guardians to ask questions. Lunch will be provided. Register Here

Engineering Society’s annual Teeter-Totter-a-Thon

The teeter-totter is a long standing engineering community event aimed at bringing together students, faculty and staff for a bit of fun and to support a good cause. Come out and support the Engineering Society’s annual Teeter-Totter-a-Thon for Marianne's Place (Guelph Centre for Women in Crisis)!  The Engineering Teeter-Totter, built right here in the SOE machine shop in 1992, will be in continuous motion for 24 hours straight from 5:00 pm Wednesday October 10th - 5:00 pm Thursday October 11th in Branion Plaza (beside the cannon).

Evolutionary Technologies for Additive Manufacturing

Since the introduction of 3D printing in the 1980s, the benefits of producing complex parts have been well understood to manufacturers. With new technologies emerging, many companies most recently are turning towards additive manufacturing, where more advantages are being revealed on a regular basis.    However, to further realize the following advantages with Additive Manufacturing, these technologies require more discussion between academia and industry:

RISE: A Conference for Women in Engineering

Join fellow engineering young alumni and students for this professional development day. Hear and learn from women of influence and top leaders from the engineering industry. This inaugural event promises to provide attendees a day filled with professional development opportunities to learn, gain confidence and acquire new skills to RISE through their engineering careers. Tickets are $20 per person and include a full day of learning, plus breakfast and lunch.
