College of Business and Economics units relocating to Macdonald Hall

The College of Business and Economics will start moving to Macdonald Hall on Friday, July 15. Please take note of the following schedule. Due to the possibility of unforeseen delays, this schedule might be subject to change. The move is currently scheduled to be completed by August 2.

Chris McKenna appointed associate dean, research & graduate studies

The College of Business and Economics is pleased to announce that professor Chris McKenna has been appointed associate dean, research & graduate studies for a five-year term, beginning July 1. He has been acting as interim associate dean, research & graduate studies since January 1, 2016.

College of Business and Economics celebrates convocation

More than 500 College of Business and Economics graduands will receive their bachelor’s, master’s and PhD degrees at convocation ceremonies being held at the University of Guelph June 13 and 14. They are among the 3,400 University of Guelph students graduating during ceremonies being held June 13 to 17.

The College of Business and Economics’ undergraduate ceremonies will take place at War Memorial Hall June 13 at 11:30 a.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. A ceremony for graduate and undergraduate students will also take place June 14 at 7 p.m.

Faculty, PhD students win award for management paper

PhD Management candidates, Josh Leblanc and Ruben Burga, and Department of Management Chair and Associate Professor, Davar Rezania have won the MED Barry Armandi Award for Best Student Paper in Management Education and Development for the paper submitted to the Academy of Management by a student or group of students that offer the most significant contribution to advance management education and development.
