Details

Vectorworks will conduct a demo hands-on workshop next Friday, January 12th from 10:15 am to 12:45 pm in the LA Pit.  Mark your calendar! Students are encouraged to bring their laptops and follow the workflow being presented by Tony Kostreski.

Download and install Vectorworks beforehand to ensure you are set up before the workshop. Scroll down to Free Licenses for Students and Educators and choose "Get Started."

You will be asked to complete a short form to be verified as a student or a teacher. If you are instantly verified, a license will be issued and available in your portal account. You can access it under the licenses tab. Links to download the software for both MAC and Windows and a serial number will be there. If you are not instantly verified, you will be asked to upload documents to show that you are a current student or faculty member. The documents can be an ID, transcript, or paid tuition bill, but they should contain your name, school name, and a current date.

Once you have created a portal account, that same login can be used on Vectorworks University. There are many webinars, courses, and certifications available on the University. There is also a free Associate Core Certification that is recommended to learn the basics of the software, broken down into digestible short videos.

Here is the schedule for the workshop:

•            10:15 AM – 12:15 PM –Demo hands-on workshop
•            12:15 PM – 12:45 PM – Show additional capabilities (GIS, 3D Modeling) and Q/A

Looking forward to seeing you,
