The Rural Planning and Development program is accepting applications for the Master of Planning program to start in January 2021. The Master of Planning is a one-year degree program intended for students with a completed undergraduate degree and 4-5 years of planning and development experience. The program consists of both required and elective courses and concludes with a major research paper.

The first Fall 2020 SEDRD Speaker Series event will take place on Wednesday, September 23rd from 12.00-1.00 pm EDT. We are excited to have Angela Penagos from the Latin American Centre for Rural Development (RIMISP) join us and discuss “The Transformation of the Rural Territories: A Challenge for Latin American Institutions”. The Speaker Series event will take place via Zoom.

The Landscape Architecture Student Society (LASS) will hold the second session for new BLA students on Wednesday, September 9th at 7:30pm via videoconference.   Link will be provided via your UofG email address prior to event. Orientation for new graduate students to the MSc in Rural Planning and Development (RPD) and the MPlan is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 1:30 pm via Videoconference.  Details and link will be provided closer to the event date via your UofG email.  

Orientation for new graduate students to the Master of Landscape Architecture program is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 1:30 pm via Videoconference.  Details and link will be provided closer to the event date via your UofG email. 

Orientation for new graduate students to the Capacity Development and Extension program is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at noon via videoconference. Details and link will be provided closer to the event date via your UofG email.  This introductory session with faculty and staff will provide more information about the start of the CDE graduate program.  This will also be an opportunity for new students to meet other students in their co-hort.  

The Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Degree Program Meeting will take place on September 9th at 11:30am via videoconference. Important meeting for new students in the BLA major to learn critical information about your degree program, academic requirements, academic support available and all the ins and outs of campus and community resources important for your academics.  Lead by Melinda Vanryn, BLA Program Counsellor.  Feel free to ask questions!
