Please join for the first SEDRD Speaker Series on September 26 featuring Sara Epp presenting research titled "Food Security and Sustainability in Northern Ontario: Examining the Impacts of Old Order Mennonites”. A brief description of the presentation is listed below: 

Nonita T Yap was an OAC Faculty from 1992 to 2017 first in the School of Rural Planning and Development and then in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development.

Panelists from Canada, the United States of America, and the United Kingdom will explore how different jurisdictions bring attention to rural within their policy making processes. Dr. Jackson-Smith will present on the changing symbolic and material importance of ‘rural’ places in governance and policy across different levels of government in the United States.
