The first SEDRD Speaker Series for the winter semester is scheduled for Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm in The LA Pit. Mery Perez (PhD Student in Rural Studies) will be sharing findings from her research titled “Music as a Discourse of Social Justice: A Case Study from Nicaragua’s Indigenous People”. The deadline to submit a notice of interest for the 2019 International Comparative Rural Policy Summer Institute is December 1, 2018. The notice of interest should be a maximum of 500 words and describe your interests in attending, the connection to your program of study, and connection to future professional ambitions. The notice of interest is to be emailed to Dr. Ryan Gibson via email. 

You are invited to attend the design 'pin-up' by the first year Master of Landscape Architecture students.  Graduate students will be displaying their design work for the graduate course LARC*6010 - Landscape Architecture Studio I with Professors Nate Perkins and Maurice Nelischer.  

The School of Environmental Design and Rural Development's Winter Social Party will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Italian Canadian Club.  This event is for all graduate and undergraduate students, faculty and staff and their guests in SEDRD (including Landscape Architecture, Rural Planning and Development, Capacity Development and Extension, and Rural Studies).  Doors open at 6:30 pm | Dinner served at 7:00 pm.
