The International Development Studies Speaker Series pesents the film screening and panel discussion of "Nowhere to Run: Nigeria's Climate & Environmental Crisis".  Panelists include:  Dr. Femi Kolapo (Department of History), Dr. Nonita Yap (School of Environmental Design and Rural Development), and Josephine Bamanya (MSc Planning Candidate).  The event will take place Thursday, January 26, 2017, in Rozanski Hall, Room 102 at 5:30 pm.  Free popcorn! UofG - Society for Ecological Restoration Meeting

SEDRD LAMP Movie Night

To get people of SEDRD introduced the LAMP (Landscape Architecture Mentorship Program), we will be hosting a movie night for all those interested in the Pit next Wednesday, January 18th from 6pm-10pm. Some pizza and drinks will be provided while everyone gets to talk. This is a spin off of the first movie night to help strengthen the ties between the students of our school. Snacks will be available for people to munch on while the movie plays as well.

Abstract Submission Deadline for Advancing Rural Policy Graduate Student Symposium

Do you want to promote your research to rural policy and regional development specialists? Are you looking for an opportunity to connect with rural policy analysts? Here is your chance! The School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, is hosting a one-day knowledge exchange event to showcase rural research being conducted at the University of Guelph. The symposium is an opportunity for graduate students to share their research with researchers, policy analysts, and program staff with the OMAFRA.
