Assistant or Associate Professor Position in Capacity Development and Extension Available

The School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (SEDRD) invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Capacity Development and Extension.  

We are seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor with an interest in and commitment to capacity development and extension in rural and remote areas and communities. The preferred candidates will have: demonstrated effective teaching in the classroom, especially at the Masters or PhD level; experience or demonstrated capability in the supervision of graduate students; a strong research program with the potential to secure funding; and evidence of successful community and stakeholder engagement. Experience in collaborative learning and facilitation practice/community development is a requirement. This position will play a key role in the MSc Program in Capacity Development and Extension, the PhD Program in Rural Studies, as well as the distance education undergraduate program.  The School is involved in Canadian and international research, teaching and service.
