Weeden to share thoughts on rural futures as part of innovative UN Day World Roundtable Relay

Posted on Thursday, October 22nd, 2020

Ashleigh Weeden, a PhD candidate in SEDRD’s Rural Studies program, has been invited to share her thoughts as part of a round-table of global leaders as part of the 2020 Connected Conversations World Conversation Relay, in recognition of United Nations Day on October 24, 2020. In celebration of the UN’s 75th year, and as global leaders reflect on 2020 and look to the future yet to come, the theme of the 2020 Connected Conversations World Relay series and UN Day 2020 is “Shaping Our Future Together.” The World Roundtable Relay will consist of a rolling series of 2-hour discussions with thought leaders and global commentators engaged in advocacy for community-centred development. Ashleigh’s insights on rural futurism will be featured as part of the America’s East session at 1pm EST.
