Rural Response to COVID-19 Research: Survey for Perth and Huron Counties

Posted on Friday, August 14th, 2020

Rural residents from across Canada have been impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. However, their unique environments often result in different experiences than people from urban centres. This goal of this study is to provide residents from Huron and Perth Counties the opportunity to have their voice heard and explain how the pandemic has impacted their lives. This individual-level survey is asking about residents' life before, during, and after COVID-19 to provide critical data to inform policy development in rural communities. The survey is available in Huron County now, and soon to be available for Perth County residents.

Professor Leigh Deacon was interviewed by CTV News London discussing the pandemic's rural impact and current survey.
