Marianne regularly instructs distance education courses for SEDRD.
She has multidisciplinary training and engages in mixed method research, which she considers beneficial for comprehensive analysis of the interrelationship between human behaviour and the environment taking into account both local diversity as well as cross-cultural differences. Marianne is particularly knowledgeable in the areas of tourism, recreation planning and evaluation in the Canadian context and in the majority world.
