Métis Dot Painting Hosted by the Indigenous Student Centre

The Indigenous Student Centre invites all First Nation, Métis, Inuit students and friends to Métis crafting and socializing. Meet the staff and explore what Indigenous Student Centre has to offer. This event is open to all students.  Spots are limited. This event has two time options; 10:30 am to 11:30 am or 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.  Register using this form!

Classical Yoga

Help yourself establish a routine and deepen your practice by joining our virtual Yoga Class every Tuesday and Thursday from 12 - 1 PM. Beyond the Books: Mental Health Training

Beyond the Books is a live virtual session that will first provide participants with general information on the prevalence of mental challenges and illness. It will then help participants to identify signs of troubling behaviour and give them skills to engage in a preliminary discussion to determine if referral to a professional is necessary.

We evolved to worry so that we would solve problems and increase our likelihood of survival. The obstacle, however, is that today’s world is drastically different. Rather than being supported by the ability to worry, people are debilitated by it.

Intro to Indigenous Peoples Educational workshop

Indigenous cultures are complex, forming dynamic and rich ways of life. However, often little is known about First Nations, Inuit and Métis people and their cultures. The goals of this workshop are for individuals to: reflect on their personal knowledge of Indigenous peoples in Canada; develop knowledge on terminology and diversity of Indigenous peoples in Canada; and reflect and challenge assumptions, biases and stereotypes.  Register online at GryphLife!
