This is a guide for students who seek to expand their skill sets and experience. This guide is focused on helping students explore and find opportunities that will aid them in achieving their career goals.

  • Consider your whole academic journey – try to incorporate at least one experiential learning experience per academic year.

  • Try journaling throughout your experiential learning experience and looking back at your journal once the experience is complete.

  • Try summarizing your learning in a short paragraph.

  • Try debriefing with a trusted person – speak to folks who were involved in the same experience.
     

It is recommended to use this guide as a supplementary tool as a talking point to your Career Advisor. The activities you complete in this guide will help your Career Advisor get a better sense of what you are trying to achieve.
