Painting

There are two dedicated painting studios in the Studio Art program: a large, open-format studio for Introductory classes located in Zavitz Hall; and an Advanced Painting studio configured to provide students with individual workspaces. The Introductory studio is equipped with a loft area for storage, a lighting grid for figure painting, a fume hood, two trap sinks and a video projector for in-class lectures. The Advanced Painting studio has dedicated storage space for student work, two trap sinks and a video projector. It also has a dedicated room with another video projection unit and overhead projector, located adjacent to the studio, for specific painting projects. There is a separate spray booth room in proximity to the studio.
