Music News at Guelph
School of Fine Art and Music maintains close links with area
festivals and venues.
We have a strong history of co-presenting concerts, workshops, and artist residencies with the internationally acclaimed Guelph Jazz Festival and the Elora Festival. Our students regularly perform in professional halls including the RiverRun Centre and in historic downtown churches.
Many of our students become involved with the University of Guelph's award-winning campus and community radio station, CFRU 93.3 FM. Guelph is well-known as a centre for independent popular music, and many of our students take advantage of local performing and recording opportunities to hone their creative music-making.
Music students regularly perform at The Bullring's open mic, and Friday Jazz Series.
