Where are they Wednesday: James Gardner

Today's feature is on James Gardner, a BA Studio Art and Art History Honours graduate, who currently works as the co-founder/co-director of his collective and artist-run centre, VSVSVS (pronounced: versus versus versus).

Since graduating from the College of Arts in 2008, James has been pursuing his craft, painting both contemporary and historical art forms. For the past couple of years, James has been researching the relationship between cognitive science branches and emergent theory to understand how images work in our psychology. Gardner has received multiple awards for his work, including the prestigious Canadian Master's Scholarship (SSHRC) and the William Blair Bruce European Fine Art Travel Scholarship. His most recent exhibition includes "Vessels and Broods" in October 2020, at the MFA Gallery in Montreal, Quebec. Congratuations on your successes, James!
