Established in 2025 to support DVM students obtaining hands-on clinical learning during their veterinary practicum. Apply during the competition for travel grants in the Winter semester by submitting a CV and a one-page letter listing your learning objectives for the practicum, explaining how they will contribute to your understanding of veterinary practice in Ontario. Applications should include proof of acceptance from the host practice. Selection will be based on the most significant demonstration that the practicum will support the students’ learning objectives and contribute to their understanding of veterinary practice in Ontario. In the case of equally qualified candidates, selection will be based on the highest program average.
Students registered in phase 3 of the DVM program who are traveling to participate in VETM*4900 Veterinary Practicum. Preference will be given to students from the Northern Ontario Undergraduate Cohort.
