Rob Wildeboer graduated from the University of Guelph in 1981, majoring in political studies. He became a lawyer, entrepreneur, and public policy worker. His lifelong vision is to help make people’s lives better in all we do, in work, charity, public service, or with people generally. This award is established to assist worthy students, immigrants like his parents, who make people's lives better and who are working to create a significant positive impact in the world. Apply May 15 to the CSAHS Awards Committee at csahs.awards@uoguelph.ca with a 250-word letter that answers the question: how are you making people’s lives better in what you do? Activities may include but not be limited to volunteer, extra-curricular, employment, research focus etc. If applicable, please indicate that you or your parent(s) is a first-generation immigrant. Selection will be based on the applicant who demonstrates a positive impact on the lives of others and/or their communities.

Students registered in any program offered by the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences who have demonstrated they have made a positive impact on others and/or their community. Preference will be given in the following order 1) Students or their parent(s) who are first-generation immigrants 2) Students registered in the Criminology & Criminal Justice Policy MA program.
