Master of Planning Orientation Session

The Rural Planning and Development program is hosting a virtual orientation session for all incoming Master of Planning students starting their studies in January 2024. The orientation will be held on November 21, 2023 from 2.30-3.30 pm EST. The meeting will review the Master of Planning program requirements, course selection, and processes. Incoming students are encouraged to bring any questions about the program, courses, or the the university! Instructions for joining the discussion will be circulated via email in advance of the meeting.

RPD Town Hall Meeting

The Rural Planning and Development program is hosting a town hall meeting with all current RPD students on November 20, 2023, from 12.00-1.00 p.m. EST. The meeting is an opportunity to check in, receive program updates, discuss upcoming opportunities, celebrate achievements, and ask your questions. "Graphic Power" Guest Lecture by Jay Wall

Please join us in the Pit on Monday, November 20th, for a special lecture called ‘Graphic Power’ by award-winning graphic designer and communications professional Jay Wall. The lecture will focus on how landscape architects and planners use communication design in inclusive engagement processes.

University of Guelph - Landscape Architecture Guest Lecture Series presents: Peter Veenstra, Principal and Founder of LOLA (LOst LAndscapes), The Netherlands Landscape architect and co-founder of LOLA Landscape Architects in Rotterdam and Shenzhen, Peter Veenstra leads many international design and research projects and is active as a guest lecturer and co-curator. In design projects, he strives to turn innovative ideas into achievable designs.

Fall Preview Day 2023 / BLA Studio Tour Drop-In

Don't miss this opportunity to attend the Fall Preview Day with information sessions and a campus tour.  Learn more about the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree program, have a studio tour, and chat with current BLA students and staff!  BLA program information sessions are scheduled from 10:00-10:30 a.m. and 1:45-2:15 p.m. BLA studio drop-in tours in the Landscape Architecture building are scheduled from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Webinar: LandsDesign Software

Prof. Afshin Ashari has arranged an online webinar with LandsDesign for LARC*3040 and LARC*6010 classes.  All landscape architecture students are invited to attend.  The webinar will offer an introduction to the software program, which is specifically designed for the landscape architecture industry.
