Amanda Mongeon, a Rural Studies PhD candidate in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will defend her thesis on "Strengthening Rural Health and Wellbeing in Times of Change: Learning for the Future."

The 4th year Bachelor of Landscape Architecture students will be holding a public display of their final design projects for the LARC*4710 Capstone Design Studio course. These projects were advised by instructors, Prof. Sean Kelly and Audric Montuno.  All are welcome to attend the exhibit held at the Bullring on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

The Rural Romp is an annual rural planning and development event at the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development. It highlights the importance of experiential learning and commuting knowledge across rural places, people, and research.

The landscape architecture program presents a special guest lecture with Jay Wall. His talk will focus on "Communication Design for Inclusive Community Engagement in Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning.  

The LABash conference is a student-led conference for landscape architecture that will take place March 12-15, 2025, at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. LABash is held in North America by a different landscape architecture program each year; the conference brings hundreds of students and professionals together to learn, network, and help shape the future of the profession. 

Proslide Technology Inc. will be giving a presentation on the entertainment and leisure side of Landscape Architecture. Victoria Ventzke, Master Planner will discuss the industry's unique opportunities, share insights into the planning process behind innovative waterpark designs, and explore the exciting career paths available. The School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (SEDRD) at the University of Guelph invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. The earliest anticipated start date is July 1, 2025, or another mutually agreed-upon date in 2025.
