MLA Thesis Defence - Laura McGregor

The final examination for Laura McGregor will be held on Monday, April 1st, 2013 at 1:00 pm in Room 133 of the Landscape Architecture building.  The thesis is "Evaluating Native Rhizomatous Grass Species for Reclaiming Sites in Southern Alberta with Limited Topsoil".  Advisor:  Karen Landman, Advisory Committee Member:  Steven Tannas, Chair of Exam:  Robert Brown. All welcome to attend.

SEDRD Book Awards

Each year SEDRD recognizes members of its student body who have made a significant achievement and who have contributed to university life and school events and activities that are beyond those required in the program by providing a Book Award to students from each program within SEDRD.  Each class year will recognize and pay tribute to an individual(s) in their class for their outstanding contribution. All SEDRD students and faculty are encouraged to attend this great tradition. Lunch provided.

MLA Conference

We are pleased to present the 21st annual MLA Conference! On Monday, March 25th, we will be venturing off campus and up Gordon Street to the new Guelph Civic Museum to learn about the research work undertaken by MLA students. Every year as part of the Master of Landscape Architecture Program, advanced graduate students team with in-process students to organize and execute a conference to communicate their research findings to the public. The conference is modelled on professional, academic-style meetings common to landscape disciplines.
