This is an opportunity for new BLA students to meet members of the Landscape Architecture Student Society. Find out about the LASS organization and how to get involved. There will also be a question-and-answer period and "tips and tricks" to help get settled in the program.
The Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) degree program meeting (meeting of major) for new BLA students will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 10:00 am.
Before lunch, there will be a brief introduction for all new students by faculty and staff in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (BLA, MLA, RPD, CDE).
At noon, the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (SEDRD) will be hosting a free lunch for all new SEDRD Graduate and Undergraduate Students (BLA, MLA, RPD and CDE).
The Gateway Centre for Excellence in Rural Health presents an online webinar titled "Cultivating Memories: A Community Gardening Project.” The lecture features Sage Milne, Ruby Debrouwer (Harbour Hill Suites), Betty Hendricks (Goderich and District Horticultural Society), and Michele Young (Retired Registered Nurse and Master Gardener). The webinar is free to join, please register on the Gateway website.
Prof. Afshin Ashari has arranged an online webinar with Vectorworks for LARC*3040 and LARC*6010 classes. All landscape architecture students are invited to attend. The webinar will offer an introduction to the software program, which is specifically designed for the landscape architecture industry.

BLA Internship Information Session
Prof. Brendan Stewart and Melinda Vanryn, BLA Program Counsellor, will have an information session for 3rd year BLA's interested in the LARC*4620 - Landscape Architecture Internship credit option for the Winter semester.
