Prof. Cecelia Paine presented with LACF Recognition Certificate

Professor Cecelia Paine was honoured during the 2015 Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) Congress Gala in Mexico in May.  Cecelia is the recent past president of the Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation (LACF) and was presented with the LACF Recognition Certificate in honour for her almost 30 years on the LACF Board. In 1987, Cecelia was chair of the task force charged with establishing the framework for rejuvenating and renaming the foundation.

MLA Students Receive 2015 LACF Grants

The Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation (LACF) announced the recipients of its 2015 grants in support of research, communication and scholarship.   

Master of Landscape Architecture students, Alex Waffle and Heather Schibli received grants for their research.  Alex's thesis research is on "Mapping Urban Agricultural Hot Spots" and Heather's thesis research is on "Design for Landscape-Scale Rehabilitation within the Township of Uxbridge".

LACF Foundation Awards Five Grants to UofG Affiliated Recipients

The Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation (LACF) announced the recipients of its 2014 grants in support of research, communication and scholarship.   

Five of the eight grants awarded went to individuals and groups with Guelph affiliations.  SEDRD Professor Robert Corry, MLA students Mark Affum, Chad Neufeld and Kathleen Corey, MLA alumni Jon Woodside, Jeffrey Beaton, and BLA alumni Victoria Bell, Adrienne Hall and Robin Mosseri are all among this year's recipients.
