Stanley Thompson Foundation Creates New MLA Award

This fall, the Ontario Agricultural College and School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (SEDRD) were proud to offer a new award. The new Thompson Graduate Studies Scholarship will be presented annually to a deserving student in the Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) program.

The $2,500 scholarship was created in 2012 by the Stanley Thompson Foundation to honour Stanley Thompson’s legacy as Canada’s most influential golf course architect. The goal of the scholarship is to inspire future generations of golf course architects and reward them for their dedicated studies. To be eligible for the Thompson Graduate Studies Scholarship, students in must have demonstrated high academic achievement and submitted a thesis proposal related to golf course design or maintenance.
