Congratulations to Sarah Robinson who recently won the Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) and Landscape Forms 2017 Landscape Forms Design for People Scholarship.
New book edited by Prof Karen Landman & Ashlee Cunsolo entitled "Mourning Nature: Hope at the Heart of Ecological Loss and Grief". Book launch will take place Tuesday, May 30th, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the Bookshelf, 41 Quebec Street, Guelph.
Ashlee Cunsolo is director of the Labrador Institute and an adjunct professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Karen Landman is professor of landscape architecture at the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development at the University of Guelph.
The Canadian Society of Landscape Architects and the Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation are joining forces to encourage landscape architecture students to attend the CSLA Congress 2017 organized in conjunction with the WORLD DESIGN SUMMIT, in Montreal, from October 16-20.
A total 12 travel bursaries and eight registration tickets are offered to students via the CSLA + LACF Student Bursary Program.
A group of landscape architecture students recently took a trip down to the University of Maryland from March 23rd - 25th for the 47th annual LABash conference. LABash (originally founded in 1970 at the University of Guelph) is an annual student-planned conference for landscape architecture students and professionals in North America. This year, the University of Guelph had the second highest representation at the conference with a total of 16 students attending.

Dr. Nadia Amoroso’s book “Representing Landscapes: Hybrid” is being celebrated along with other Campus Authors on March 9, 2017. Nadia is an instructor in the landscape architecture undergraduate and graduate programs and has published several books on topics about creative mapping and visual representation and design.
