The University of Guelph Honey Bee Research Centre is a leader in apiculture, research and education. Honey bees play a key role in agricultural productivity and ecosystem sustainability by providing pollination services to crops and wild plants. Our mandate is to help honey bees continue this vital work.

Attendees of this tour will receive a free day pass for recreation in the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre, including access to the Fitness Centre and / or a fitness class, to use at their convenience!

This session will explore self-esteem, self-confidence and self-efficacy, all important components of inner strength, as well as the benefits of practicing self-compassion. Participants will be introduced to a variety of theories and concepts around these topics, have the opportunity to complete self-assessments and learn strategies to help build a stronger sense of self. Yoga for Mental Health. Yoga for All. Make Yoga Part of Your Life.  Join the U of G community on Friday, June 21, 12-1:30 PM to celebrate the United Nations International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2024 and realize the many - mental, physical, social, environmental, and spiritual benefits of yoga. IDY is the biggest yoga event of the year and is celebrated throughout the world every year on Summer Solstice, June 21. All are welcome, this is an inclusive event.  

Join an informative and conversational tour of the current exhibitions on view at the Art Gallery of Guelph. Exhibitions include Yours in Native Spirit: Richard Bedwash, highlighting works by the Anishinaabe artist created while active in the Native Sons, an organization established at the Guelph Correctional Centre in 1977, and What Remains, an exhibition exploring the texture and nuance of the migrant experience and that of citizens of the borderlands who bear witness.

While every person’s experience with mental health and well-being is unique, members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community face additional and exceptional challenges in this area. This is due to the bias that is inherent within Canada and its various systems pertaining to sexual identity.

Join a unique Wellness Workshop at the beautiful, 400-acre sprawling The Arboretum, U of G, on June 07, 2024, and "Immerse in the Synergy of the Natural World". The Keynote speaker will be world-renowned Plant Scientist, Professor, Dr. Praveen Saxena, Director of GRIPP, U of G. The title of Professor Saxena's talk will be "Wellness: The Synergy of Plants, Environment and Health"
