Homewood Health has partnered with Occupational Health and Wellness to host this webinar. Description: When stressors overwhelm us, effective techniques can help to bring us back to equilibrium. This session will explore all aspects of the stress response, focusing on practical tips and tools to bring us to optimal stress levels, thereby helping us to maximize our energy and performance. Fostering Uncertainty Tolerance

For Senior Leaders, Chairs, Directors, People Managers Scientific research shows that practicing improvisation can foster our uncertainty tolerance. This is because practicing improvisation strengthens our relationship with change by exposing us to unpredictability in a lighthearted context. Additionally, improv offers us practical principles and tools for navigating the great unknown. This session is for those wishing to strengthen their relationship with uncertainty and have tons of fun along the way. This is a highly interactive learn-by-doing experience not a data-dump.

Whether it's registering new students, supporting technology, or checking out workout equipment, customer service is one of the most common, important and challenging roles on campus. It takes perseverance and commitment to meet with staff, faculty, and students all day, every day to keep the wheels turning. The role can be very rewarding, but the daily interactions can also have a shadow side – dwindling positivity, stress, and anxiety.

Beyond the Books is a face to face session that will first provide participants with general information on the prevalence of mental challenges and illness. It will then help participants to identify signs of troubling behaviour and give them skills to engage in a preliminary discussion to determine if referral to a professional is necessary.
