Civic Holiday Weekend - AHL closed Monday August 3rd

To our valued clients, we hope everyone enjoys this upcoming long weekend. In Ontario this is a holiday and AHL will be closed Monday August 3rd. Submission drop off at AHL Guelph is available from 7AM to 8PM everyday including Sundays and Holidays. AHL Guelph is open and specimen room staffed on Saturday August 1st from 9AM to 5PM for regular Saturday testing (limited Clinical Pathology and Bacteriology) and emergency Post Mortem submissions.

Virus neutralization testing update

AHL is pleased to announce that all virus neutralization testing except Avian adenovirus, FAdV08/FAdV11 is now available once again at AHL. All cases with pending results will be queued for testing.

Closure of AHL Guelph Postmortem Suite Thursday June 18th for approximately 12 days.

AHL Guelph is about to embark on a construction project of a much needed redo of the floors in the Postmortem suite. As a result, the contractors have been lined up and the final dates have been set.

AHL continues to provide most services while still maintaining provisions outlined by the Ontario government and public health.

Here are a few updates from AHL:

AHL Update - Current status, Current hours, after hours drop off closed and a new AHL fee schedule/user guide coming May 1.

To our valued clients, below is an update of our status as we move through these trying times:

1. As an essential service, AHL is open and continues to operate with reduced staffing. We have altered working hours with two shifts in some areas to make sure we have proper physical distancing and to keep up with the workload.To concentrate on priority tests, we have for the time being discontinued most virus neuralization testing.
