Andrea Chu, a U of G undergraduate research assistant is working on a collaborative research project with the Hospitality programs at Guelph and Ryerson Universities, in partnership with Fit First Technologies.

The primary focus of this initiative is ultimately to attract students to the industry, and to support them in making career choices that are the best possible fit for them – thereby increasing the odds they will find the right path and stay longer.

Andrea will need help from the industry.  She is compiling a ‘library’ of jobs that would be logical first or second jobs out of school for Hospitality grads, or that could be summer/co-op/MIT roles.

If you are interested, please take a moment and complete a short questionnaire to help grad students with career planning purposes.

As a ‘thank you’ for your time and trouble, a report will be sent to you that describes the Ideal Candidate for that position, which you will be able to use for your own recruitment efforts in the future.

The students at Guelph and Ryerson will in turn receive cutting-edge career planning tools that will help get them off to the right start in the industry.

Many thanks again for your support. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to Andrea at achu@mail.uoguelph.ca.
