Prud'homme Beer Certification®, a beer sommelier program was created in 2009 to meet the needs of a rapidly changing desire for more beer knowledge. This multi-level beer education course has something to offer to everyone from the beer aficionado to the hospitality professional.
In this Q&A, Anna Sabrina Ahmad Sopian, Bachelor of Commerce in Tourism Management (2016) alumna, discusses her recent award, future goals, HFTM memories, advice and successful moments with us. Currently, Anna is an intern to the Minister of Tourism and Culture in Malaysia and works with the Tourism Policy and International Relations Department at the Ministry.

HFTM students recently had the pleasure of meeting and creating cocktails with Cameron Bogue, Beverage Director of Earls Kitchen & Bar.
Cameron has developed new cocktails and modernized fresh and classic cocktails for the Earls bar program for 65 restaurants throughout Canada and the USA. Along with maintaining the cocktail program, he also maintains the Earls beer program and has created different regional craft beer programs.

The School is thrilled to announce the offering of beer education. With the success of the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) certification courses, it made sense to look into beer as our next step.
The beer seminar series will launch in October, offering 'Beer Basics' in October, followed by 'Canadian Brewing Traditions" in January 2017, and 'Farmhouse Fermentation: Beer & Cheese' in March 2017.
