FEB 28: Hospitality Analytics Course Certifies Hotel-Minded Students

Posted on Monday, March 4th, 2013

Professors Michael von Massow and Justin Taillon will be co-teaching a directed study course titled "Hospitality Analytics & Consulting" during the F’13 semester. Six to eight students will work on two consulting projects and become CHIA-certified, a designation for hospitality consultants created in collaboration by STR, ICHRIE, and AH&LI. The University of Guelph will be the first Canadian University to offer this designation to students! The consulting projects will take place in Ottawa with Green Key, a sustainability certification program for hoteliers created by HAC, and in the Turks & Caicos at the Ports of Call Resort. Any students interested in registering for the course should attend an informational session at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7th in MACS 129. If you are interested in the course but unavailable to attend the info session, please speak directly with either Professor and they will ensure you have all information. You will not be able to register for the course without speaking with Michael von Massow or Justin Taillon first.
