Deadline for ICRPS 2018 Applications

The deadline to submit a notice of interest for the 2019 International Comparative Rural Policy Summer Institute is December 1, 2018. The notice of interest should be a maximum of 500 words and describe your interests in attending, the connection to your program of study, and connection to future professional ambitions. The notice of interest is to be emailed to Dr. Ryan Gibson via email. 

MLA 1 Class Design 'Pin-Up'

You are invited to attend the design 'pin-up' by the first year Master of Landscape Architecture students.  Graduate students will be displaying their design work for the graduate course LARC*6010 - Landscape Architecture Studio I with Professors Nate Perkins and Maurice Nelischer.  

SEDRD Winter Social Party 2018

The School of Environmental Design and Rural Development's Winter Social Party will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Italian Canadian Club.  This event is for all graduate and undergraduate students, faculty and staff and their guests in SEDRD (including Landscape Architecture, Rural Planning and Development, Capacity Development and Extension, and Rural Studies).  Doors open at 6:30 pm | Dinner served at 7:00 pm.

The Ontario Association of Landscape Architects will be visiting the LA building this week to run an interactive session outlining what the OALA does and why you should consider membership. The session is part of Professional Practice - LARC*4610 and LARC*6360, but is open to all to attend.

The Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River are critically important to Ontario’s environment and economy. They are also a source of joy for many Ontario residents in terms of scenic views, recreational opportunities, and spiritual significance and renewal. The relationship between the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River, and the surrounding landscape, is complicated. Many efforts have been made, and continue to be made, to understand, protect and restore these important water resources and to manage the impacts our activities have on them.

Fall Preview Day & LA Studio Tour

Visit the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture booth at the University of Guelph Fall Preview Day on Sunday, November 4th. Meet our Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program faculty and student reps.   The Landscape Architecture Studio Drop-In session will be held from 11:00am - 1:00pm.  Stop by to see the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture studio space, and talk with current students about their design projects.
