Classical Yoga

Help yourself establish a routine and deepen your practice by joining our virtual Yoga Class every Tuesday and Thursday from 12 - 1 PM. Anxiety: Skills & Strategies

This group program meets once a week for 3 weeks to develop and practice skills in decreasing the uncomfortable sensations of anxiety. A variety of long and short self-calming techniques are introduced, along with behaviours that can help prevent escalation of anxiety.  All techniques in this program have originated from research into strategies which decrease anxiety. They have been well studied and the most up-to-date information will be presented.

Morning Mindfulness Moment: Loving Kindness Meditation

Join this very short mindful moment to kick start your week. This mindfulness exercise will be a guided activity focused on strengthening feelings of kindness and connection toward others.  Join to sit back, relax and follow along to the guided script to start your day in a positive way. No video required.  If you are registering on the morning of this session, please email sschoeff@uoguelph.ca to ensure you receive the meeting invitation.

Finding the Balance during COVID-19 with Dr. Mercer

This webinar if offered monthly by CMHA WW. Dr. Nicola Mercer is back to speak with Dr. Anne-Marie Zajdlik and Helen Fishburn, CEO, CMHA WW, about vaccines, COVID-19 anxiety and hope for a better summer. Moderated by Marva Wisdom, Senior Leadership & Equity Practitioner. Funds raised support Bracelet of Hope and other local charities. Registration is now closed.

Managing Your Mindset in Uncertain Times

COVID-19 and the resulting implications have thrust us into challenging and uncertain times. Have you found yourself soothing with food, panic buying, calming with alcohol, binge watching the news or Netflix? We can’t control what is happening around us but we can choose our response so we feel some control over what is happening within us. In this session you will explore how uncertainty is impacting your thoughts and behaviours.
