Mental Health Trainings

Mental Health First Aid (in-person)

Developed by the Mental Health Commission Canada, this 2-day certification course focuses on the four most common mental health disorders including substance-related, mood-related, anxiety and trauma-related, and psychotic disorders.

Register now for the training on March 22 or May 9

The Working Mind for People Managers (virtual)

The Working Mind (TWM) is an evidence-based training developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada designed to provide practical knowledge and skills to address mental health in the workplace. Participants will learn how to:

  • Recognize the impact of stigma and discuss how to reduce it and other barriers within the workplace.
  • Notice changes in their mental health and have conversations with colleagues, family, and friends.
  • Identify and use available resources to help support themselves and others.

This 2-part program is being offered on April 10, 9:00 am-12:00 pm, and April 17, 9:00 am-1:00 pm. You must attend both days. Register now!

Women's Only Swim - Available every Wednesday from 3:05pm -3:50pm in the red pool for free! 

Athletics is opening their Women’s only swim in March for staff and faculty to attend for free! No membership is required. Staff should enter through Client Services to register for their free swim pass. Everyone should enter the pool through the changerooms. Locks are available for rent for $1 or you may bring your own lock. Bags are not permitted on deck and all belongings should be secured in a locked locker.
