Why Black Canadian Studies?

Our world needs more people with a comprehensive understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion. Employers are looking for people to build, implement, and sustain anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices within their businesses. Policy makers require the knowledge, skills, and experiences developed through this minor.

Our graduates will recognize the complexities and social importance of Black Canadian Studies and will be empowered to create equitable and inclusive spaces—whether in work, personal, or political environments.
